In 2021, on the occasion of World Friendship Day, the famous beverage brand Coca-Cola is launching its first ever digital collection. Launched on the Open Sea platform as an auction, this collection includes unique gifts such as
- a friendship card inspired by the trading cards of the 40’s,
- a sound visualizer that captures different sound effects of the brand (like the opening of a bottle for example),
- a virtual jacket for your avatar in the Decentraland metaverse.
As a bonus, buyers will get a retro-style fridge that will be real !
For this operation, Coca-Cola has collaborated with the company Tafi, which specializes in the design of avatars and virtual accessories. Sold via the cryptomoney ethers (ETH), the brand said that all proceeds from this auction would be donated to the Special Olympics, an association that helps children and adults with intellectual disabilities.
